Building a
Timberframe
Video diary: Building a Waterfront Timberframe
Home
In February 2010 Chris Robinson
began the process of designing a timberframe home to be
built on one of our waterfront properties. In this video
series Chris assembles his design and construction team
and reports on the key elements of the design-build
process. He records his interaction with Guysborough
County officials concerning environmental assessments and
building permits. He talks to a local surveyor about
producing plot plans and foundation surveys required for
mortgage financing.
Chris is an award winning student at the Nova Scotia
Community College in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. At
graduation Chris will receive his diploma in Heritage
Carpentry.
