The wildlife is amazing. The entire voyage is
rapid free. Take your time, stay alert and experience
fully one of Canada’s top 10 canoe trips with your kids
or your grand children.
The trout are abundant and provide endless
entertainment for youngsters and others learning to fly
fish. In season you can walk to Indian Man Pool and
cast your fly over wild Atlantic salmon. The St Mary’s
River Association in conjunction with the Atlantic
Salmon Association have worked wonders. The salmon
stocks are building and for a few weeks each year
fishing them is great fun.
The approach from the highway into the property feels
like the entrance to a secluded private river front
estate. This happens largely due to our reclamation of
the old highway. The main access is easily gated
creating a very secure estate. The gradient from the
highway to the river is gradual through magnificent
hardwoods which dominate a large knoll in the center of
the property. We have cleared an old logging road that
extends half way to the river. Continuing this old road
down to the shore would be easy and inexpensive. We
know of no other property on the St Mary’s River with
the same potential to create a wonderful wilderness
