At least twice each fall usually in late September
and again in early October the Department of Fisheries
conducts research on the salmon population at Indian
Man Pool. The old woods road allows them convenient
river access for their diving equipment and seining
net.
All of this activity takes place along the edge of the
property. There are many options for building
locations. At the river near the Lot 11 line a
tranquil, private building site is possible.
The forest on the property is predominantly softwood
with some large hardwood. This acreage was not
aggressively logged. There are several thousand board
feet of lumber in the mature softwood that should be
cut in the near future. Enough for building that dream
lodge perhaps! Expect to see many species of birds here
including woodland ducks, eagles and herons. The drop
from the new highway road bed down to the grade at Lot
12 is not a factor. The gentle contours and gradual
slope of Lot 12 create ideal conditions for road
construction on the property. Access from the existing
woods road into the site's interior offers several
intriguing options. |
